Enter months; SeaBag converts them to decimal years before calculating points.

A visible breakdown

Separate your performance, exam, service, and other applicable points.

Check the inputs while there is time to fix them.

Start with the paygrade you are competing for, then use the applicable PMA or RSCA PMA and your exam standard score. The standard score is not the number of exam questions answered correctly.

For E-5 and E-6, include the applicable service-in-paygrade, PNA, award, and education inputs. E-7 uses a different set of factors. The calculator applies the grade-specific caps and keeps fractional service points in the result.

Use this breakdown to prepare questions about your Enlisted Advancement Worksheet and record. A calculated FMS does not predict a selection quota or confirm advancement. Your official EAW, profile sheet, and cycle guidance control.

Aim high on the factors you control. A small PMA shift or one more award point can move the final number more than you would expect, and the breakdown above makes those tradeoffs visible before the cycle closes instead of after.

Common questions

What does FMS stand for?

Final Multiple Score. It combines exam performance and other applicable advancement factors into a score.

Why does service in paygrade include decimals?

The advancement manual converts additional months to decimal years. SeaBag uses that table before applying the service factor, instead of treating months as years.

Can this tell me whether I advanced?

No. Selection also depends on the official cycle process, eligibility, quotas, and final results. This calculator explains an estimate of the score.
