Rating and specialty
Find entries associated with the rating or NEC you are researching.
Read the award context
Keep the zone and listed award details together.
Keep the notes attached
Check the qualifications and limitations that accompany an entry.
The note can matter as much as the number.
An SRB entry is not a personal bonus approval. A table value can depend on an effective date, qualification, zone, service obligation, or other policy condition. That is why reading its notes is part of the lookup.
Use SeaBag’s SRB reference to identify the relevant entry, review the accompanying notes, and prepare specific questions for your command career counselor. Sync before relying on a cached award plan.
Official SRB guidance and the command’s eligibility process determine an individual result. Do not make a reenlistment or timing decision from a multiplier alone; confirm the applicable policy and your circumstances with the CCC.
Read the whole entry before you read the number. An SRB award level applies to a specific rating, NEC, zone, and obligation window, and the notes carry the conditions that decide whether the level applies to you: a required NEC held at reenlistment, a service-remaining requirement, an eligibility date, or a tier based on the obligation you sign. Two sailors in the same rating can look at the same table and be looking at different rows. Timing matters as much as the multiplier — award plans are published by cycle, and an entry that exists today can be reduced or removed before your window opens. Bring the entry, its notes, and the effective dates to your career counselor, and get the calculation in writing through the command’s process before you make a commitment based on it. A reenlistment built on a remembered multiplier is a reenlistment built on sand.

Common questions
What does SRB mean?
Selective Reenlistment Bonus, an incentive associated with designated skills and Navy requirements.
Can SeaBag approve or guarantee a bonus?
No. It is a reference for researching entries. Your command and the official Navy process determine eligibility and approval.
Why should I check the effective date?
SRB award plans and guidance change. A previously saved entry may no longer describe the applicable plan.
